“WINDLESS” The second feature film by director Pavel G. Vesnakov meets its audience.

“Windless” is Pavel G. Vesnakov’s second full-length feature film, following “Lessons in German.” Vesnakov continues to work on television series as well. His latest series, “Everything for My Son,” starring Dimitar Rachkov, is still airing on BNT1.

“Windless” had its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The critical response ranged from “Impeccably shot,” Variety, to “A strikingly beautiful film,” Screen Daily.

“Windless” tells the story of a young man who returns to Bulgaria to sell his late father’s apartment. What seems like a routine task turns into a journey back in time, through which he must overcome the traumas of the past. In the lead role we will see Ognyan Pavlov, known as the rap artist FYRE. “Viewers will be able to see Ogi in an unexpected light. The film is entirely focused on him and inspired by his sensitivity,” says director Pavel G. Vesnakov. The film also stars Veselin Petrov, Nadya Derderyan, Mihail Mutafov, Konstantin Trendafilov, Lidia Vulkova, Vasil Binev, and others. The cinematographer is Orlin Rusevski.

“Windless” is produced by Veselka Kiryakova, Red Carpet, in co-production with the Italian company dispàrte, co-produced for Bulgaria by Transformers, and funded by the National Film Center, the Ministry of Culture in Italy, and Eurimages. The film’s world sales agent is the French company Alpha Violet. The distributor for Bulgaria is Purple Rain.
