The world premiere of “Made in EU” was held at the Venice International Film Festival. After that, Stefan Komandarev's film won the Grand Prize for Best Feature Film, the award for Best Actress for Gergana Pletnyova, and the Youth Jury Award at the 43rd National Festival “Golden Rose” in Varna. It was followed by premieres at Film Fest Hamburg (Germany), CinEast Festival (Luxembourg) and the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (Greece).

“Made in EU” is a Bulgarian-German-Czech co-production (Argo Film, 42film and Negativ) and was realized with the support of the National Film Center, Bulgarian National Television, ZDF/ARTE, MDM – Germany, the Czech Film Fund, KIA Bulgaria and TRT Turkey.
