“I, the One Who Loves You” is a moving one-man show based on an idea by and performed by Darin Angelov, transforming an extraordinary love story into a powerful theatrical experience. Written by Yana Borisova and directed by Dimitar Kotsev – Shosho, the production tells the story of a young man who assumes another person’s identity during wartime in order to survive, only to unexpectedly discover true love within this seemingly fabricated reality.

Blending humor, tenderness, and painful candor, “I, the One Who Loves You” takes audiences into a world where the boundaries between truth and imagination blur, revealing a deeply human story about fear, loneliness, and the need to be loved. It is a production that both makes you laugh and touches your heart, reminding us that sometimes love is the bravest way to stay alive.
