About the play
What happens when a wife unexpectedly comes home?
After witnessing the scene that awaits her, everyone is in shock. No one has any idea how or why they ended up in this situation, and despite their efforts, the truth keeps slipping further and further away.
But where is the truth? Are the “Germans” to blame, is it voodoo magic, or is everything part of someone’s sinister plan?
Critics describe Sébastien Thiéry’s plays as “elegant boulevard theatre” and compare them to the works of Ionesco and Beckett.
The witty dialogue and jokes bordering on indecency sometimes cross the line, but they are interwoven with surprisingly serious themes. Combining vaudeville and comedy with the theatre of the absurd, Two Completely Naked Men became a sensation at Paris’s Théâtre de la Madeleine and was nominated for the Molière Award in 2015.
