What happens when a wife unexpectedly comes home? After the sight she finds, everyone is in shock. No one has any idea how or why they ended up in this situation, and despite their efforts, the truth keeps slipping further away. But where is the truth? Are the “Germans” to blame, is it voodoo magic, or is this all part of some diabolical plan?
Critics describe Sébastien Thiéry’s plays as “elegant boulevard theatre” and compare them to the works of Ionesco and Beckett. The funny dialogue and jokes that hover on the edge of propriety sometimes cross the line, but they do so with surprisingly serious themes. Blending vaudeville and comedy with the theatre of the absurd, “Two Naked Men” became a sensation at Paris’s Théâtre de la Madeleine and was nominated for the 2015 Molière Award.
