I Can
The performance “I Can” by the State Puppet Theatre – Burgas was developed by director Petar Todorov and actresses Desislava Mincheva and Nedelina Roselinova, in collaboration with one of Bulgaria’s most prominent child psychiatrists, Dr. Zdravka Yaneva.
It is intended for babies and children up to four years of age.
“I Can” is an exceptionally entertaining theatrical adventure in which children’s play is recreated as choreography set to the music of Antonio Vivaldi. The two magical beings in the performance convey the idea of the “moving human,” who instinctively discovers their physical culture. Like young children, they express themselves through the active presence of their bodies in space and define their “I” through statements such as “I can,” “I can walk,” “I can sit,” “I can lie down,” “I can jump,” “I can spin,” “I can go left,” “I can go right,” “I can look up,” “I can look down,” “I can build,” and many others.
