"The Illusion" is a comedy that confronts us with ourselves. It confronts us with our own personalities. It also confronts us with theatre. This is a theatrical composition — a performance that tries to resemble itself. Only in this way can we attack the theme of the self and reality — through the expectations we have of ourselves. By layering theatrical realities and deconstructing them, we will test the possibilities of the hypertrophied, perfect self, the one in the mirror.
Where will the boundary between realities crack, or do they inevitably go hand in hand? Which is more real — reality or theatre?
