A spoiled princess rejects the gifts of a young prince—a real rose and a real nightingale—but is willing to give kisses to a humble swineherd just to possess the cheerful yet useless toys he has made.
As in Andersen’s classic fairy tales, the swineherd turns out to be the very same young prince, determined to win the princess’s heart. Naturally, the power of the things that are truly precious in life—the fragrance of a flower, the song of a nightingale, the warmth of love—manages to transform the spoiled princess, and she falls genuinely in love with the young prince.
With a little sadness and plenty of smiles, these storytellers bring the truest fairy tale to young audiences.
As true as they themselves are.
