We rejoice when the weaker one outwits the stronger. In this way, a kind of justice is restored. But once the trickery goes too far, it turns into lies and deception. Then we begin to sympathize with the other side — precisely because, although strong, they are naive and trusting. Yet it is not fair for them to suffer at the hands of deceivers.
