THE WINDOW OF YAVOROV

“The Window of Yavorov” opens onto a bohemian and rapidly developing Sofia. Life in the capital is dynamic, cosmopolitan, and filled with the experiences of many first discoveries. Amid the multiplying social novelties, a remarkable love between the greatest poet and the most beautiful woman of high society is on the verge of becoming a legend.

The performance is a fragmentary journey through the history of the missed encounter between Peyo Yavorov and Lora Karavelova. The couple’s intense emotional world is conveyed through dance theatre and collage, while poetry and music intertwine in a song of live confession.

The mirage of the Other begins to fade. But the longing for the Other is irresistible and creates extraordinary images on the border of the tragicomic. Real facts intertwine with dreams and nightmares. When the Other dissolves into the invisible world, from the mist of memory its longed-for face rises once again.
