RED SPEEDO

“Red Speedo” by Lucas Hnath is a play that explores the themes of ambition, success, and the pressure modern society places on the individual to be the best. The action takes place in an environment associated with professional sport—a swimming pool—where a young athlete is just one step away from the greatest achievement of his career: qualifying for the Olympic Games. At that moment, however, doubt appears, calling into question not only his future, but also the way success is achieved.
