In a world where everyone is searching for themselves, while everyone looks like someone else, a single coincidence unleashes an avalanche of misunderstandings, jealousy, suspicion, and unstoppable laughter.

After a shipwreck, two twin brothers are separated as children. Years later, fate brings them to the same city—without either of them knowing it. Each is accompanied by another twin—a servant, likewise indistinguishable from his brother. From that moment on begins a whirlwind of mistaken identities, exchanged roles, locked doors, unexpected loves, and people who suddenly seem to have gone mad.

In his stage adaptation, Iskender Altun transforms Shakespeare’s play into a lively, dynamic fairground—a world of music, movement, merchants, dance, laughter, and ceaseless play. Different cultures, religions, and human destinies meet onstage, while Istanbul comes alive as the great stage of life.

Amid the clamour of the city, among lovers, swindlers, wives, servants, and merchants, the characters continually lose their way in their own lives. The world around them loses all logic, and reality begins to resemble a dream in which everything is at once funny, dangerous, and strangely beautiful.

Because sometimes the greatest mistakes turn out to be the only path to the truth.
