Pajamas for Six
Nothing in “love triangles” is ever quite what it seems. In real life, this isn’t always so amusing. In the theatre, it’s different—especially when the play is French and its author is Marc Camoletti.
For this playwright, the universally familiar and often banal “triangle” of life is merely an excuse to let his imagination run wild. The humor bubbling up in every scene draws us into a labyrinth of adventurous traps. At first, we are merely spectators, but gradually we become accomplices in the intriguing action, because—whether through our imagination or our own life experience—we have all brushed against the sharp edges of some kind of triangle.
At the end, the characters put on their pajamas and, exhausted, fall asleep in the “pigsty” and the “barn”…
I sincerely believe that, with or without pajamas, after the performance the audience will go on sleeping with smiles on their faces for days!
