The Great Don Cossacks

The Pleven Philharmonic presents, for the first time in Bulgaria, the soloists of “The Great Don Cossacks.”

A concert dedicated to Serge Jaroff, the legendary conductor of the world-famous Don Cossack Choir, commemorating the 130th anniversary of his birth.

The renowned Don Cossack Choir was founded in Berlin in 1981 by Professor Petya Khudyakov. To date, it has performed more than 3,000 concerts throughout Europe. Since 1991, it has given annual Christmas concerts at Vienna’s prestigious Konzerthaus.

The choir has appeared in hundreds of radio and television broadcasts. It has released dozens of CD and DVD albums, including recordings for EMI Austria.

Since its establishment, the ensemble has featured distinguished opera singers of various nationalities.
