Sofia, a city that boasts a unique blend of modern character and historical atmosphere. But what lies beneath it?

You will dive into the mysterious depths of Sofia to discover worlds that usually remain hidden from public view. We will present a different perspective on the capital’s bunkers and on how a successful project to breathe new life into such a space can change the way we see the city and its history.

The first part of the event is dedicated to a presentation by Dr. Ivo Anev, who is a leader and economic expert on the "Historical Bath" team and part of Club Smisal—a place where different ideas and viewpoints meet to turn into sensible and meaningful action. He will share facts and stories about the bunkers in Sofia and present a new perspective on these underground spaces.

The second part of the event will feature a project by Optimistas, an initiative supporting unconventional and challenging projects related to the development of culture and the urban environment. They will share their experience of restoring a former ammunition warehouse from the Ottoman Empire period in Varna, transformed into the alternative youth space ReBonkers.

The final part will be devoted to a discussion moderated by architect Veselin Alexiev, during which participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their opinions.

The venue of the event, Hyperspace Social Tech Hub, is a space for events and meetings in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, art, and meaningful causes.
