The story follows the extraordinary fate of a young girl whose face is hidden by the magic of a large, wondrous hat. As she confronts the consequences of her unattractive appearance, Hime is drawn into the abyss of despair.

Will the girl manage to overcome society’s prejudices? Will she cast aside her own fears so that she can be herself again—free?
