Is it possible for a husband and wife to have lovers of their own, for both partners to know about them, and for them to remain a family? This is what is known as an “open marriage.” Let’s see what happens when the open marriage begins to take effect.
The great Italian playwright, actor, and director Dario Fo presents a realistic, fantastic, funny, dramatic, and tragicomic portrait of the everyday life of two spouses who sometimes love each other and sometimes hate each other; sometimes trust each other and sometimes succumb to jealousy; sometimes whisper love poems and sometimes hurl fire and brimstone at one another.
A delightful theatrical game, written by Dario Fo and his wife—the actress Franca Rame—with the aim of immersing us in the many different states of two people living together. It is also an opportunity for a dazzling display of acting and to fill the audience with laughter, tears, reflection, and longing.
