About Prof. Damyan Pophristov
Prof. Damyan Pophristov is the only Bulgarian director to have staged a Bulgarian production on Broadway—an achievement that remains unique in the history of Bulgarian theater. He is also one of the founders of “Polonia” and one of the contemporary researchers of the Bogomil movement and its spiritual and historical legacy.

Beyond his professional achievements, however, the film seeks to discover the person behind them—his convictions, pursuits, encounters, friendships, and causes. In the Service of People is a story about knowledge as a responsibility, art as a mission, and a life devoted to the aspiration to leave meaning behind.
