The story of eight women, locked inside a house and forced to live in mourning, turning away from every trace of pleasure and joy in life, fading away, torn apart by the storms unleashed by their emotions. House of Rage confronts human nature with the unbreakable walls of prohibitions and taboos that only humans themselves can create. Love, as longing and mirage, is felt most strongly throughout the performance, while at the same time remaining the forbidden fruit for which lives are destroyed.
House of Rage is a story:
- of humanity's relentless striving for freedom, for the shores of unknown seas;
- of meaning, when it is taken away — to love and be loved;
- of love as a possible dream and an impossible life;
- of dictatorship and the rebellion of free will, of anger born in solitude...
