Based on the novel Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

The development of artificial intelligence through a surgical operation is the original discovery of two scientists: Dr. Strauss and Prof. Nemur. After a successful operation on a mouse named “Algernon,” they decide to perform a similar operation on a mentally disabled man. Their choice falls on the main character—Charlie Gordon—who volunteers for the experiment, as he shows a desire to learn to read and write better in order to become intelligent. From that moment on, the young man’s life changes dramatically. Not only because of the avalanche of information that overwhelms him, but also because of the storm of new emotions he had not expected. Promises, fear, shame, self-criticism, pride, daring, ambition—feelings that fly and descend from all sides like hungry seagulls after a piece of bread.
