---

Man in the trivial patriarchal world, his routes of crucifixion and the error that individuates him: an inept player on an uneven field, with wavering resistance and guaranteed failure.

Life as competition, inaccurate blows, Pyrrhic victories, hollow supremacy, dead ends.

The crisis in society against the crisis in the soul.

A man with an ever-unstable yet unmistakable presence.

The story of a striking non-hero with a surname that strips him of identity.

Loved in the moment of his strength (by Sara) or of his weakness (by Sasha), he is broken and (self-)isolated.

The story of each one of us.

“There are thousands of Ivanovs. The most ordinary man, by no means a hero...” — Chekhov

He has squandered his chances. Present, yet a fictitious participant in the lives of those around him.

An episodic figure in the role of the main character, around whom everyone gravitates.

A loser and paradoxically, a favorite.

Nobody.

And yet...
