The Banker from Mumbai

Usually, the bank takes your money. Sometimes, it takes your dignity, too. But it rarely decides to take you hostage.

Alain Kraft (Mihail Bilalov) walks into the bank with one modest ambition—to withdraw money from his personal account. A few minutes later, his account has been frozen and the exit locked, because the bank’s owners are now... Indian. The new management has new rules, and according to them, Mr. Kraft has committed a serious crime. He has become wealthy.

In this absurd confrontation, Alain finds himself face-to-face with the Bank Teller (Krastyu Lafazanov), who is as slow as a snail and follows the rules even when they make no sense.

By his side is the Branch Manager (Teona Dimova/Yoana Mincheva)—a woman capable of turning every explanation into even greater confusion.

For the first time, Lafazanov and Bilalov share the stage in a spectacular clash between common sense and institutional madness. One wants to get his money and leave. The other wants to follow the rules. Both are convinced they are right.
