Kamen Donev Lecture No. 2 on Universal Enlightenment

The second lecture is structured similarly to the previous performance — with the same didactic character and an absolute impossibility of being retold. The production is a two-hour poly-performance, one might say, because Donev is not alone, even though for most of the time he is physically alone on stage.

There are his swift speech and inimitable torrent of rapid-fire delivery, filled with total absurdities and житейски wise insights; there is his seemingly bottomless breath, thanks to which he uses every part of the stage, dancing the English waltz, a Georgian dance, disco, swing, and then breaking into an aria from Rigoletto. There is all his arsenal of jokes and lessons, the flexibility of his mind, talent, and physical potential.

– How do we love God, Father? – By loving people. – And how do we love people? – By trying to set them on the right path. – What is the right path, Father? – The steep one, child, the steep one!
