In the world of Nikolay Haytov, love and honor, sin and forgiveness, the law of the clan and the call of the heart collide with the wild power of nature and the human soul. “A Wild Tale” intertwines two of his most powerful stories — “The Wedding” and “Dervish’s Seed” — into a single theatrical flow of passion, courage, and doom.
Dramatist Yuri Dachev has created a stage text that captures the rugged poetry of Haytov’s language — a language that sounds like the earth, the mountains, and the silence of the people who live among them. Under the direction of Bina Harlampieva, the performance becomes an emotional and sensory experience in which tradition and modernity mirror one another.
“A Wild Tale” is theater for the timeless questions — how far a person can go for love, and what price is paid when one makes a choice.
