Fire Carnival
About the project
The project is aimed at creating a new cultural product for a broad audience in several towns and cities in the Blagoevgrad region. The main idea is for the Drama Theatre "Nikola Vaptsarov" – Blagoevgrad to step beyond the boundaries of the conventional stage and meet audiences in an urban setting, turning streets and squares into open-air stages.
About the performance
Created in partnership with the Theatre of Fire and Shadows – FIRETER, the performance brings together professional artists and participants from the Theatre School at the Drama Theatre "Nikola Vaptsarov" – Blagoevgrad in a colorful stage experience in which fire manipulation, stilt walking, juggling, acrobatics, and theatrical action become a shared celebration.
The performance is directed by Plamen Ivanov – an artist, teacher, and co-founder of FIRETER, with many years of experience in the field of contemporary street and circus arts. Also taking part in the process is Viktor Teofilov – an artist and trainer in juggling, dance, and fire arts.
The process
"Fire Carnival" is the result of a workshop-laboratory in street spectacle arts, in which actors and young participants explore the possibilities of the body, rhythm, fire, and collective play.

The event will be held with free admission.
