Riding the Crest of the Wave

A boat on the open sea. In the boat are two women: a mother and her daughter—and that always foreshadows a storm. Two women set out to break a record, but end up breaking records for comic situations as they unravel their past and try to make up for all the moments they have missed.

Two women who are complete opposites: the mother—a fading film star, and the daughter—a young researcher with a cause. Will they find a favorable wind together, or can a mother and daughter never be on the same wavelength? And if they ever do manage it, it will certainly be on the crest of the wave!

A play about the things that keep driving us apart, and about taking stock— is it worth losing ourselves in a sea of unspoken words? A play you absolutely must see if you are a mother, a daughter, a father of a daughter, a brother to your sister, or a son to your mother. If you find yourself on the list—welcome aboard. Smooth sailing… sorry, enjoy the show!
